rigid band my sensitive skin allows
Bangles are the worst offenders for me because they sit against one spot all day and I end up with a red band of irritated skin. This one has not done that once. I have worn it through hot commutes and long days at a desk with my wrist resting on the edge of it, and my skin stays completely calm. There is no rough edge anywhere on the inside to dig in. After four months I have stopped thinking about it entirely, which is the highest praise I can give a piece of jewelry.

crystals stayed clear through pool season
My biggest fear with any stone-set bangle was the chlorine clouding the crystals. I have swum in it twice a week since April and taken it into the sea on holiday. Every stone is still perfectly clear and still throws light the same way it did new. I rinse it under the tap afterwards and dry it on a towel, and that is the whole routine. The settings have not loosened either, which I half expected after that much water. It genuinely lives in the water with me now.

gold behind the stones never darkened
The place I expected trouble was the little triangle settings, because that is where grime and darkening always start on my other pieces. Five months of near daily wear later, they are as bright as the rest of the band. No dull halo around any stone, no brownish tint on the inside curve. I compared it against a photo I took the week it arrived and there is no difference I can see. The gold tone has held completely even right around the bangle.
