Wave Bracelet

I wore this every single day of a ten-day trip to the Gulf and never once took it off. It went into the ocean, into the hotel pool, into the outdoor shower, and then straight to dinner. I kept expecting the gold to go patchy or the chain to feel gritty afterward, because that is what happened to every other bracelet I have packed. Instead I rinsed it under the tap each evening and it looked exactly like it did in the box. Five months later it has been through countless showers and it still has that same liquid shine. Water genuinely does nothing to this one.

I have worn a watch on my left wrist for years and anything metal on the right side used to leave me itchy and blotchy within an hour. I ordered this expecting to return it. Four months on I have had zero reaction, not even on the hot humid days when I sweat under it. My dermatologist confirmed years ago that nickel is my trigger, so I am picky about what touches skin. The underside of the chain stays smooth and there is no rough seam anywhere to rub. It is the first bracelet I can sleep in without waking up scratching.

I bought this in late February and I have worn it almost daily since. My worry with any gold-tone piece is that dull brownish cast that creeps in around the links after a few weeks. It has not happened here at all. I held it next to a brand new piece from the same order and honestly could not tell which one had five months of wear on it. The flat snake links have not gone dark in the grooves either, which is usually the first place things go wrong. Whatever the plating is, it is holding beautifully.

I have replaced three bracelets in the time I have owned this one. It refuses to age. Buying a second so I always have one on.

Very easy to wear and adjust, with no pinching whatsoever. The excess chain does dangle a little once tightened on my small wrist. I tuck it under and it is fine.

It took me a few goes to work out how to tighten it neatly without over-pulling. Once I had it, it has been perfect. Worth mentioning for anyone new to slider closures.
