Stella Earrings

Bought these in early March for spring break and figured they'd be a one-trip purchase like every gold pair before them. Four months later I'm still wearing them three or four times a week. The gold hasn't shifted color at all, no bronze tint, no black creeping around the ear wires, no dullness on the starfish arms. Every previous pair I owned looked fine for a month and then aged ten years overnight. These have been through workouts, showers I forgot about, and a hot Nashville June. They genuinely have not changed since the day the box arrived. I already ordered a second pair for my sister's birthday.

We just got back from ten days in the Outer Banks and these starfish were in the ocean with me almost every single day. Salt water, sand, sunscreen, outdoor showers, the whole beach routine. I'd read that salt is what kills gold-plated jewelry fastest, so I fully expected to sacrifice them to the trip. Instead they came home without a single dark spot, and the textured ridges on both starfish are as detailed as ever. I rinsed them in the sink once and that was the only care they got. My daughter's earrings from a boardwalk shop turned gray in two days for comparison. These are actual beach jewelry, not just beach-themed jewelry.

I haven't worn dangly earrings in years because my ears react to everything except solid gold studs, and those get boring. Itching within an hour, sore lobes by morning, you know the routine if you have ears like mine. I tested these on a Saturday at home so I could pull them out fast if needed. The two little starfish are so detailed, you can see the texture on each arm. They swing gently and look gorgeous with beach waves. I've been asked about them at the farmers market twice.
