Solitaire Bracelet

I honestly cannot remember the last time this bracelet was properly dry. It goes in the shower every morning, the pool most afternoons in summer, and it came on a lake weekend where it barely left the water. I never dry it or wipe it down, it just stays on my wrist. Four months of that and the gold has no water spots and the little stones have not fogged over at all. The settings around each crystal are still clean gold with no dark rings, which is where I expected trouble first. For something I paid this little for, the fact that water is simply a non-issue still surprises me.

My wrists flare up with eczema constantly and most metal makes it dramatically worse within a day. I ordered this expecting to wear it for special occasions only and it has ended up on my arm nearly every day since March. There has been no redness, no itching and no flare where the band sits, which has genuinely never happened with a bracelet before. I have worn it damp out of the shower, overnight, and through sweaty summer days, all of which normally guarantee a reaction. The stretch fit also means there is no clasp edge pressing into one spot all day. It is the first sparkly piece I own that my skin simply ignores.

The reason I stopped buying plated bracelets is that they always go orange on me around the six week mark, usually starting on the underside. This one has been worn daily since late February and there is not a hint of it anywhere. I am a nurse so it deals with sanitizer dozens of times a shift, constant handwashing, and gloves going on and off over it. I have never polished it or used a cloth on it, not once. The gold is still the same warm tone as the day it arrived and the metal around each stone is still clean with no darkening in the recesses. Five months in it genuinely looks like a piece I bought last week.

The gold tone is beautiful and the crystals that are there do sparkle properly. I'd have liked the stones a little more densely placed — as it is the effect is subtler than the photos suggested.

The sparkle and the gold tone are both excellent. On my wider wrist the stretch sits tighter than I would like by the end of a long day. Fine for a few hours, less so for twelve.

Flat enough to tuck alongside my watch without pushing it up. The two coexist perfectly on the same wrist.
