Starfish that actually goes in the sea

It felt right to test a starfish in real salt water so I wore these for a full week on the coast, in and out of the ocean every day. No pitting, no dull patches, no cloudiness on the pave. They also went through the hotel pool and a lot of sunscreen. I bought two so I could stack one higher up and both have held identically. Back home they go in the shower with me every morning and nothing has changed since. Four months and the little arms still sparkle exactly the same.

Sensitive lobes, no reaction in months

Most earrings leave my lobes hot and swollen within a day, so I usually stick to plain surgical steel. These went in in March and have essentially not come out since. No itching, no soreness, nothing weeping. Because they are flat studs I sleep in them every night without the back digging in. Even after long sweaty gym sessions there is no burning. Being able to wear something sparkly again after years of plain posts is genuinely lovely.

Starfish gold has not gone dull

I have worn these almost every day since the end of February and the color has not shifted at all. That includes daily showers, hairspray, perfume and a lot of sweat from work. The back of the stud, where it presses against my lobe, is usually the first thing to go dark on plated earrings and it is still bright. The pave between the arms has not dulled or collected any grey film either. I put them next to a newer pair and could not tell which was which. Very solid plating for the price.
