Lilia Ring

I hesitated because a flower ring with a pearl seemed like something I would have to baby, and I do not have the patience for that. So I tested it properly: pool laps twice a week all spring, ocean on vacation, hot showers every night. The gold petals still shine and the pearl has not clouded or yellowed at all. Not one dark spot in the grooves between petals where water could sit. It has fully become a ring I never think about taking off.

I am seventy-one and I have bought a lot of gold-tone jewelry that turned dark and coppery within a season, especially around detailed pieces like this. This flower has been on my hand since the middle of February and it has not changed color one bit. Not on the band, not between the petals, not on the underside where my finger touches it. I wear hand cream constantly and wash dishes without gloves. The gold still reads warm and rich instead of that orange tone cheap plating goes. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

My hands break out in a rash from almost every ring I own, so most of my collection sits in a drawer. I bought this one mostly because of the flower shape and expected to wear it for a few hours at parties only. Four months later it lives on my finger permanently and my skin has stayed completely clear underneath. No itching, no redness ring, no green mark even after sweating through workouts and washing my hands all day at work. The pearl is comfortable against my skin too. It is the only statement ring I own that I can actually wear.

Stunning ring and the pearl is prettier than the photos. It does stand a good way off the finger, so I've stopped wearing it with gloves or a snug coat sleeve.

I knew the measurement but it still reads larger on my hand than the listing images imply. That turned out fine for me since I wanted a statement. Worth knowing if you prefer subtle.
