Gisele Earrings

My ears reject almost everything and I have the scar tissue to prove it from years of trying. Heavier earrings are the worst because they pull and the post sits in the piercing all day, so any nickel just soaks in. I bought these fully expecting to return them and instead they have been my default pair since March. Not one flare, no itching, and no swelling even when I leave them in for several days at a time. I have worn them through workouts and showers where sweat and water sit right in the piercing. For a bold earring this heavy to be completely comfortable on reactive skin is honestly the surprise of my year.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I took these out. They have been through months of daily showers, a two week trip to San Diego with ocean swims every morning, and countless hours in a chlorinated pool with my nieces. I even wore them kayaking and got completely soaked when we tipped. Every other pair of big gold earrings I have owned started spotting along the bottom curve after a few weeks of that. These still have a clean unbroken shine across the whole teardrop with nothing collecting where the drop meets the top piece. At this point water is just not something I factor in when I get dressed.

The thing that gives plated earrings away is that pinkish brassy tone creeping in at the edges after a couple of months. I have watched it happen to at least six pairs of gold doorknockers over the years, including two that cost me well over a hundred dollars. These have been in my ears almost daily since February and the color has not shifted at all. I have worn them through hairspray, self tanner, perfume, hot showers, and a very sweaty spring. The curve of the teardrop is still the same warm even gold as the flat back. I keep checking under the bathroom light expecting to catch it starting and it simply has not.

Genuinely beautiful in person and the mirror finish is better than I expected from the pictures. Shipping ran longer than the estimate, so order early if they are meant for an occasion.

This was a small treat for myself after a rough month and they have out-earned everything else in my jewelry box. Jeans, dresses, work clothes, all of it. Genuinely my most worn pair.

For earrings this size they take a lot of knocks from bags and seatbelts. The smooth face has picked up nothing visible in months. Still looks like a jewelry counter piece.
