Duet Bracelet

Two-tone pieces are usually the worst offenders for me because there is twice the chance one of the alloys sets my skin off. I have reacted to almost every bracelet I have owned, usually with a red itchy band by the end of the first afternoon. This one has been on my wrist most days since March with nothing at all, not from the gold sections and not from the lighter ones. I have slept in it, worn it damp from the shower and sweated in it at the gym, which is normally a guaranteed flare. The stretch band also means nothing pinches or digs into one spot for hours. It is the only two-tone piece I have ever been able to wear daily.

I put this on in early March and it has essentially lived in water since then. Every morning shower, dishes twice a day, and a two week stretch at my sister's place where we were in her pool constantly. I never take it off and I certainly never dry it properly. There is not a single water mark on either metal and nothing has crept into the fluted sections. My old bracelet went patchy after about three weeks of the same treatment, which is why I was testing this one so hard. It has passed with no effort from me at all.

The whole reason I hesitated on a two-tone bracelet is that once one side tarnishes the piece looks broken rather than just worn. This has been on my wrist almost daily since the end of February and neither section has moved a shade. I work in a bakery, so it deals with steam, flour, constant handwashing and sugar syrup all week. I have never cleaned it with anything beyond running water. Not the gold accents, not the lighter band, not the underside where it presses against my wrist, none of it has darkened at all. A regular at the counter asked if it was a designer piece, which tells you how well it has held its finish.

Five months of daily on and off and it still hugs exactly as it did. No loosening, no sagging around the wrist.

The gold sections are exactly as pictured and lovely. The silver runs a little cooler and greyer than the warm tone in the listing images. Not a problem, just not identical.

We live a block from the water and humidity destroys most of my jewelry. This has been on daily since spring with no dulling anywhere. The fluting is still bright right down in the grooves.
