Clasp Bangle

I wore this every day of a two week holiday in Greece and never once took it off, including swimming in the sea each morning and showering after. The tight crossover of the knot is exactly the kind of crevice that traps salt water and starts corroding from the inside, which is what happened to a bangle I bought last year. This one came home without a single dull spot, even in the innermost part of the twist where water clearly sat. The gold is the same warm tone all the way around and the surface is still smooth to the touch. I did nothing beyond rinsing it under the tap at night.

I have worn a medical alert bracelet for years and even that has to be a specific titanium one, because anything else leaves my wrist raw and itching within a day. Bracelets are worse than rings for me since they slide around and irritate a wider band of skin. I put this on in March half expecting to have it off by lunchtime and it simply never bothered me. Since then I have worn it for weeks at a stretch without removing it, through showers, workouts and sleep. The skin underneath is completely normal with no redness and no dry patches anywhere. It is the only decorative bracelet I have been able to keep.

The recess inside the knot is impossible to polish and that is exactly where every previous bangle of mine has gone dark and grimy, usually by the second month. It makes the whole piece look cheap even when the rest is fine. I have worn this one virtually every day since February through the gym, cooking, cleaning and a lot of hot weather. Last weekend I took it off and studied the knot from every angle under a lamp. The metal deep inside the crossover is still bright gold with no shadowing or discoloration at all. I have never polished it once and it does not need it.

Gym clothes, work dresses, a wedding outfit. It has never once looked wrong. That kind of range is worth far more than the price.

I gently squeezed it to sit tighter on my wrist when it arrived. Cheaper bangles crack or lose their finish at the bend when you do that. This took the adjustment without a mark.

It does travel slightly along the arm when I am at the keyboard. Not uncomfortable, just needs the odd nudge back.
