Atlas Ring

This has gone to work every weekday for five months and the gold setting has not changed in the slightest. My old pearl ring from a department store had gold flaking off the band by month two and left a gray smudge on my finger. Nothing like that here. The waves around the pearl are the same warm tone the whole way around, including underneath where it presses against my other hand. No dark spots, no thinning at the edges. It has outlasted jewelry I paid a lot more for.

My skin reacts to almost everything, nickel especially, but even some sterling gives me grief. Normally I get a red band and steady itching by the end of a workday. This has been on my finger nearly every day since March with nothing at all. No redness underneath it, no itching, no dry flaky patches. Wore it straight through a stretch of hot humid weather when my skin is usually at its most miserable. Zero reaction the entire time.

Forgot I had it on and jumped straight into my friend's pool at her birthday party. Spent the rest of that afternoon convinced I had just ruined a pearl ring. Took it off that night to inspect it under a lamp and there was nothing wrong at all, no cloudiness, no dulling, the gold around it still bright. Since then it has been through daily showers, a very rainy stretch in April, and plenty of sweaty subway rides home. The pearl still has the same deep glow it had in the box. At this point I have stopped babying it entirely.

Very light and I have had no rubbing or soreness at all. It does sit taller than I imagined from the listing, so I catch it on my coat pocket now and then. Still wearing it several times a week.

The baroque pearl is gorgeous and the wavy gold setting is even better in person. It's a single size, so it fits me nicely but I couldn't order one for my daughter who has smaller hands. A size range would make it perfect.

Dishes every evening with this on and there is no fading whatsoever on the setting. My other gold rings would have gone dull months ago.
