Ariel Earrings

I ordered these in March and I have worn some combination of the shells, the starfish, or the pearls almost every day since. Tarnish is what killed my last three sets of stacked studs, always starting on the posts and the back of the shell where you cannot see it. I pulled every piece out this weekend and checked them under the kitchen light. Not one dark edge, no dulling on the gold shells, and the silver starfish is still bright rather than that grey film silver usually gets. They have lived through sunscreen, hairspray, sweat, and a lot of humidity without a mark.

I wore this set on a two week trip to the Keys and the shells and starfish went into the water with me every single day. Salt water, snorkeling, an outdoor shower twice a day, and one very chlorinated hotel pool. I honestly assumed the pearls would cloud or the silver starfish would go dull, and neither happened. All I did was rinse them with fresh water at the end of each day and pat them dry. Two weeks later they look exactly like the day I unwrapped them. For beach jewelry that actually goes in the sea, these are the first pair that has survived a trip with me.

I have a nickel allergy and stacked earring sets are usually off limits for me because one bad post ruins everything. I went slowly and wore the shells for a week, then added the starfish, then the pearls. My second and third holes are the touchy ones and neither reacted at all. Three weeks in I was wearing all of them at once through workouts and showers with no itching or soreness whatsoever. It is the first multi pair set I have been able to keep in permanently.

These came in a very simple mailer with no real presentation to speak of. Fine for me, less ideal since I had planned to gift them straight from the package. The earrings themselves are lovely and well made.

Took these on a seven day cruise and wore them in the ocean, the pool, and the hot tub. Everything came back looking untouched. The gold shells still have the same warm shine.

Long travel day with these in and I had zero aching by the end. They stayed put through a nap on the plane too. Comfort is the reason I keep wearing them.
