six months in the gold still reads gold
Coming up on six months of wearing this basically every day and the plating looks untouched. My last few rings from the mall left my finger green inside of three weeks, and one of them actually started flaking along the band. This one has done none of that. The linked bands are the same warm color they were out of the box, including the spots that rub against my other fingers. Kept waiting for it to turn and it simply has not. First gold ring I have owned that made it past one season looking like this.

linked bands with zero itch on my finger
Nickel is a nightmare for me. Anything cheap and my finger goes red and itchy within a couple of hours, sometimes with a little rash that takes days to settle down. Ordered this half expecting to send it back. Three months later it has been on daily, I have slept in it more than once, and there has not been a single itch or red mark. The skin under the bands looks exactly like the skin around them. Whatever that stainless base is doing, it works for people like me.

a pool week could not dull the pave
Bought this right before a Florida trip and fully expected to be pulling it off every time I got near water. Never did.
