Amor Earrings

I have worn these hearts every single day since the middle of February and I am writing this specifically about the tarnish question because that is what I was worried about before ordering. Gold plated studs I have owned before always went first around the back of the heart and inside the post, where sweat sits. I checked both under a lamp this morning and there is nothing. No dark rim, no green, no dull patches on the puffy front. They have been through hot yoga twice a week, sunscreen all spring, and more perfume than I want to admit. Five months and they still catch light like new ones.

I bought these puffy hearts for a trip to the Gulf coast and fully expected to leave them in the hotel safe. I never took them off once. They went in the shower every morning, in the ocean twice a day, and through a chlorinated resort pool most afternoons. Ten straight days of salt and chlorine and the gold looks exactly the way it did in the box. My whole routine was rinsing them under the tap at night before bed. The cheap studs I used to travel with would have gone dull and cloudy by day three. These did not shift a shade.

My ears react to almost everything, which usually means one nice pair of studs and then months of nothing. I had a sore, weepy lobe from a pair I wore to a wedding last year and I nearly did not order these. I put the hearts in on a Sunday and left them in through a full work week to test it properly. No itching, no swelling, no crusting around the piercing at all, and that includes sleeping in them. I have since worn them through sweaty gym sessions and a humid weekend and my lobes stayed completely calm. The stainless steel posts are clearly doing what the description says they do.

The earrings themselves are gorgeous and shinier than I expected. They arrived in a plain little sleeve rather than a gift box, which I had not anticipated. I bought a box separately and it was fine.

Retail floor all day, phone against my ear half the time, and no soreness at all. They stay put and stay light. My default work pair now.

Every cheap pair I have tried left faint green marks after a week. These have been in constantly since May with nothing on my skin at all. The gold on the hearts is still even everywhere.
